But its the terminal 5 Hoppa that arrives on the hour. We decided to attempt the Hoppa to terminal 2.We were told the Hoppa left every hour on the hour so arrived 10 minutes to the hour- got tickets from the ticket machine in the porch area. I left with a smile because of her! Food was excellent also! Check out was quick and efficient. What an asset, she was so friendly, always smiling, one of the best servers I've ever come across. Wifi was poor for a hotel though, although it was free for members. Nice modern bathroom, not huge but more than enough for a night. Just about enough room for 3 large suitcases to be spread out and opened. The room was on an upper floor as requested, quiet. We saw the receptionist later and it was nice that he remembered us and asked how the room was. The hotel itself is modern, very friendly staff, welcoming. Felt guilty but it seems the Hoppa is just hourly, it really wasn't clear. He wasn't happy as he had waited for ages then we gave him a short fare. Looked for a Hoppa but it really wasn't clear which one went to the hotel. We arrived at terminal 5 from Manchester. The breakfast was a more positive experience with a large buffet and they gave our three year old daughter some crayons and things to keep her preoccupied with. The fries were clearly not done when we got them, probably because they were stressing about forgetting the order. They did apologize and we got free sodas and dessert, but the whole dinner took us an hour and a half. There were very few quests and a lot of people at work so this was disappointing. They managed to forget our order and didn't find out until about 50 mins had passed and we started asking. We tried out the restaurant at the hotel since there weren't anything else close by. The lady in the reception spoke so softly when we checked in that I had a hard time picking up what was said. The reception area had some drinks and snacks for sale which was nice. There was a bit of a bad smell in parts of the hotel though, especially if you took the stairs to the room. I have no complaints about the room quality. It wasn't a very long walk from the station to the hotel, but even though the Heathrow station did, the underground stop (Hatton Cross) by the hotel didn't have a lift so we had to carry our three large suitcases and stroller up and down the stairs. We had a 20 hour layover at Heathrow so we found this hotel one underground stop away. Kind Regards, Richard Lee General Manager I hope that we might have another opportunity to welcome you back to Hilton Garden Inn again soon. We are sorry if this caused you any inconvenience on your journey, but for future reference we do also have private hire taxis available, or we are just a few minutes walk from Hatton Cross underground station which is one stop back to the airport. The Hoppa Bus serves all 29 hotels at the airport for a fixed fare of £4.50 per person to any hotel, but the routes and fare are set by National Express who operate the service. I am sorry that you were dissatisfied with the shuttle bus service, unfortunately Heathrow Airports Limited to not allow any individual hotels to operate a shuttle bus with access to the airport and the only service which has a license from the airport to provide shuttle services is the Hotel Hoppa Bus. Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent stay at Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and had a good experience at the hotel.
